Bertie - 1 year old Yorkie
This little guy went into foster care with Trisha tonight.
He was surrendered by his owners who were no longer able to keep him.
Unsurprisingly he is confused and scared by the sudden change in his circumstances. So far he's very quiet and just hiding under the table trying to make sense of what's happened.
Poor little thing.

Re: Bertie - 1 year old Yorkie
Bertie is definitely relaxing. He even barked today. He is the first dog I've meet who refuses to go for a walk. I'll try again tomorrow. I have got him outside the house (dragged out) but he won't go beyond the gate. So he might be good for someone looking for an easy to mind dog.
He's house trained and I believe he's fully vaccinated.

anyone else?
Nothing is currently happening with the previous offer to take Bertie so anyone else interested? He's been very good and is gaining confidence. Happily was given a bath and stayed with my sister and her kids for a weekend while I was away. He even walked around the block.
He;d really like to be in his permanent home for Christmas. Remember a dog isn't just for fostering, it's also for Christmas.

That's great news that he's gaining confidence Trisha. Will put him up on Pets Ireland also and see if that generates any interest.

Hi Carebear,
Bertie is booked pending a homecheck. We will put you next on the list if it doesn't work out.
Karen.

Re: Bertie - 1 year old Yorkie
Unfortunately Bertie's new home hasn't worked out and he will be coming back to us to hopefully find is final forever home.
He's looking for a fosterer, preferably with no other dogs, if anyone can help?
