Re: *GONE TO RESCUE* Kaya, injured Staff/PB Pup
I met Kaya today and what a lovely sweet pup she is
She is smaller than I thought and has put on lot of weight from the first photos. She looks like any normal playful puppy and doesn't seem to be bothered by her wound. She was a bit unsure of me first but after few seconds she was all over my face and happy to have a new friend
She is just an adorable little thing and I am so glad we can help this girl and a special thanks to Anne for looking after Kaya so well

Re: *GONE TO RESCUE* Kaya, injured Staff/PB Pup
Kaya went to a more permanent foster this evening. She met her dogs and loved them and after she had settled I left her playing and running around like a lunatic
She didn't seem too bothered that we were separating
So a few tears were shed in this house this evening
. If it doesn't work there she can come back here. I hope she is confident enough at this stage to cope with more change and that a new perfect forever home is on the cards for her - no less than she deserves.

Re: *GONE TO RESCUE* Kaya, injured Staff/PB Pup
Kaya needs a new fosterer asap.
She's coming on great but needs a specific home.
She's great with other dogs and children but will need a home with a dog that doesn't mind her being in it's face and not a young child since she's very bouncy and could easily knock them over.
This little girl has been through the mill.

Re: *GONE TO RESCUE* Kaya, injured Staff/PB Pup
Kaya is in foster care with Kylee and is coming along really well. Her jaw has healed as best it could but she'll always have a droop on one side. Kylee is just working on her socialisation and manners now as she's still very jumpy! She's happy to go out the back garden now and with the recent fine weather she spent lots of time pottering in and out of the house - this is huge progress for Kaya as she was absolutely terrified of going outside when she first came into our care.

Re: *GONE TO RESCUE* Kaya, injured Staff/PB Pup
Kaya got spayed and microchipped yesterday and is coming along in leaps and bounds. She's no longer the scared little pup that I first met. She's quite happy to spend time out playing in the garden now and has learnt some manners from living with kids
. Her mouth has cleared up nicely, no more infection, although she'll always have a droopy mouth on one side.
When I collected her from the vet yesterday it was the first time ever she walked on the lead back to the car, previously she had to be carried as she was too scared. Kylee has done a fantastic job with her.
Here's some new pics of Kaya taken yesterday.

Kaya really needs to find her forever home soon so that she can settle in for once and for all. She'll be good to go once she gets her stitches out in 7-10 days so if anyone out there has the perfect home for her please post here, PM me or email friendsofbendogrescue@gmail.com
