Re: *REHOMED* 10 puppies GSD x Rottie
The best option would be to help the mother so that the pups can stay with her until ready to be rehomed. But we need to have a back up plan (e.g. fosterers for the pups) in case things go bad
Will update the thread when I have more info but any offer to foster will be appreciated

owner said she will get mammy dog to see a vet she is rotating the pups so they all get their fair share but some are bigger than others, she said she will see how the next week goes and if its getting too much for mammy 4 pups will be going into foster but i just need to hear from the owner as to how the mammy dog is managing

Mummy
I have a litter of 8 foster pups at the minute. I had Mummy on "pettabs" from the start, they are small round tablets, they are full of calcium and multi vits, inexpensive and she will eat it like a biscut, I give my mum two a day one morning and evening. Also Mummy can be fed some of the milk replacer as it is full of vits and mins she needs. She has a big litter and the older they get the more demanding they get so its good to have back up but they are best kept with their Mum as long as poss. A tip I always find helpful if they are trying to get them to lap milk replacer to top them up is to put their paws in it first, then they lick their paws then get to like it that way. To end my rant the importance of worming from two weeks, and forur weeks (including Mum) cant be stressed enough, I am at the four week stage and its frightening how wormy they are even with the best of care so far. Good luck all involved its not easy!

Re: *REHOMED* 10 puppies GSD x Rottie
Any news on htese pups - I saw on PI that only 2 remain unbooked. I don't know if that includes one that I was talking about for a guy who should have filled in and returned a FoB adoption application form for? Also any more pics so that he could actually pick one would be great - thanks
