Dunboyne Stray: Ollie, staffie/boxer/x-breed
Dog name: Ollie
Sex: male
Kennel number: 10
Located: Dunboyne Pound
If in pound is stray/surrender? Stray
Picked up:
In: 14/07/09
Needs out: Mon 20th July
Ollie is a small guy, about half the size of a boxer. I see some staffie in his face but not in his body. He is a calm, sensible boy and is very gentle and will sit when asked. He is well looked after and well behaved so I hope someone is looking for him. If you can help him please post, pm or call Martina on 086 3871498.

This lovely boy is out of the pound in the vets at the mo getting the big snip (!) and then he is coming home with me today as a foster for a couple of weeks before going off to Sweden

Hi Jimbo,
The reason a lot of staffies go to Sweden is because we have a good rescue contact in Sweden who helps rehome dogs for us. Sweden does not have the over population of dogs that we have here and there is no ridiculous restricted breeds legislation. Carina finds great homes for the dogs over there and any of the staffies that we have sent over have ended up in fantastic homes.
Karen.

Re: Dunboyne Stray: Ollie, staffie/boxer/x-breed
Ollie is with us since Wed evening and he is such a sweetie
. Can't believe that he wasn't reclaimed - this little guy is so easy going, chilled out, quiet and a bit of a couch potato! Great with all people, dogs and situations, a little car sick but we will work on that. He is not a cat fan however but that is the only ickle tiny thing! He is also super trainable and works for treats and attention, he is still trying to get his head around what toys are for but has started learning about tug and he likes that a lot. The people who gave him up (by not reclaiming him or trying to find him) don't deserve to have him.
Lots of pics of lovely Ollie here - will make a fab pet
