Absolutley brilliant Karen - well done. I am so happy and hopeful for this girl. She is really one of the most amazing dogs that I have ever met and I do hope that her new forever and ever and ever home is around the corner crossedfingers

Here's some new photos of Miss Ruby and an update on this lovely girl:heart: I love you I love you I love you

Ruby is housetrained and in a secure garden is happy to be left for a few hours with a kong or some other tasty treat.
She adores tennis balls and just loves to play.
She's really improved on the lead and loves to get out for long walks.
She would love to go to a home with someone who goes running because she loves to run with me around the park.
She knows sit, down, leave it, take it, gimme the paw, off.
She loves hot dogs, chicken and salami Laughing
She sleeps all night in her crate without budging.
Since going into foster care there have been no incidents with other dogs. When she sees them out on a walk she's becoming much easier to distract.

She's still waiting patiently for her forever home. The perfect forever home for Ruby would be with someone who has experience with strong dogs, is not gone for more than a few hours at a time, has no other pets, has a very secure garden, and would love to have an exceptionally trainable dog to work with. Please if there's anyone that thinks they know someone who might be able to offer this girl the perfect home then contact me.

important Begging

Post  tripod on Thu May 28, 2009 2:30 pm

Please please please please there has to be someone and somewhere for this perfect girl. Karen has worked tirelessly to help this super dog, to the point of being ill herself and we still need some where for Ruby despite Karen going above and beyond.
If anyone has any ideas, even if they seem farfetched, for Ruby to go - without other dogs and with a sensible person - then please contact Karen with a suggestion. Even if there is only half a chance we can try it - Ruby deserves this adn I think at this point Karen needs it.

Thanks Karen for all you have done for this stunner, can anyone please help 3dogs

At this present moment and time we have nowhere for Ruby to go from tomorrow so this situation is as urgent as it can get.

No that is not an option for Ruby because she's not good with other dogs.

Ruby went back to Leitrim this evening No . Nothing materialised in time for her and I had to take my dogs back today and there's absolutely no way I could manage to have her in the same house as Millie.

Several tears have been shed today for this beautiful girl, but the last couple of weeks haven't been completely in vain. We've learnt a lot about Ruby and what the perfect home for her would be.

The most important thing now is that we keep up Ruby's profile and continue to search for this fabulous girls forever home. We can't forget about her just because she's in Leitrim.

So my appeal for everyone on this board is to keep working on trying to find someone suitable for this girl. I'm absolutely certain that the perfect home for Ruby is out there, I'm just sorry that it couldn't have been here because she's such an amazing dog.
