Fashion Show

As you all know I held a Table Quiz for A Dogs Life last week that was really successful and I have started planning my next event for them...
A Fashion Show.

Its going to be a joint one with A Dogs Life & Friends of Ben receiving 50% of the profits each
Its going to be hard work but am sure with help it will be a huge success.

Firstly I'd like to ask if anyone has organised one and if they have any pointers? I done one ages ago but it was a small one and I'm hoping this one will be on a bigger scale.

Secondly, if anyone would like to be on the organising committee, they are more than welcome to join. The committee will be in charge of a number of different aspects from securing a venue to hiring hairdressers and other services

We will also be looking for Models if anyone wants to be one, I'll be holding interviews nearer the time once we know what stores are on board etc

I am also hoping we will be able to have a number of stalls where anyone with a fashion,beauty or pet related business will be able to sell their products and gain some exposure for themselves.

Wow Anita - you're mad !! If anyone can do it you can though - the table quiz was brill. I am presuming this is a human fashion show and not a doggie one!?

I'd like to be on the commitee and I know a hair dresser who works for herself and a friend of mine is doing a beauty course and has a nail manicure set so they might help you out :)

I know, I must be lol but with help it will be easy enough. Going to give plenty of time to get everything sorted, am thinking
of middle/end of August.

Amber133, Thanks you are def on the committee, once I have a venue it will be all hands on deck, and if we have contacts we may aswell use them. I've a few friends in Makeup Aritstry so am roping them in,along with a few other contacts that owe me a favour

We now have two people to do make up, a hair dresser and are looking for a suitable venue.

Also Trying to get a Celebrity Guest for the Day !

I have also had 2 contacts offer their jewellery for models to wear. Now just to source clothes :)

Sharon Ni Bhuaileann RTE newsreader is into the dogs and is fashion concious!

What about contacting the National College of Art and Design to see if any of their students would be interested in having their designs modelled?

oh never even thought of them, I'll call them tomorrow and see what they can do :)

Fashion show is coming together :)

We have two stores willing to donate clothes

We have models organised and possibly a few more to be added.

Tickets will go on sale when we have everything finalised

Wow girls thats great news Sounds like it will be another success.

You can put my busniess down for a stall or whatever, you could charge businesses a fee which could go toward costs or as donations etc. or ask them to donate products/services or just a contribution; we will donate vouchers etc. for prizes if there is a raffle or something.

Just received confirmation of a DJ and am waiting to hear back from a well known department store so fingers crossed there

just need to get host sorted, the host we wanted is unavailable

We are going to have stalls set up as the Irish Autism society are attending and will set up there own stall

we are also hoping the Marie Keating foundation attends on the night as an e mail has been sent to them

so that money raised on the night will go to a few charities instead of just 1 !

I've a few other companies doing stalls too.
We are continuing our hunt for a celeb host so everyone keep fingers crossed we get our 2nd choice
