At 22:20 this evening on FM 104 there will be a discussion on the restricted breeds and Dublin City Council will have a representative to talk about the ban and Lilly should be there too.

Re: This evening FM 104 at 22.20
thanks rachell felling a bit under the weather having to fight this, its a sad world we live in when you have to fight for the right to own a dog regardless of breed. but thats the kind of country we live in we just have to keep going and going, god i hate BSL

Re: This evening FM 104 at 22.20
i think that dogs trust Ireland should seriously consider their position as by facilitating DCC attack on its tenants they are actually endorsing both BSL and discrimination, perhaps unintentionally, as dogs trust UK has never supported either.

Re: This evening FM 104 at 22.20
you were really great Lilly
even the presenter at the end did know what to say anymore
I find it very interesting that the Council sent someone from Dog Trust to represent them - I thought Dog Trust was an independent body with nothing to do with politcs. But what surprised me even more is that the Dog Trust speaker clearly stated that she does not agree with BSL so that is a bit of a contradiction for me.
Lilly made very good points with regard to discrimination and people being bullied and the message came across very clear to the public: BSL and the Council ban is not the solution and might not even be legal so people have the right to know that they are being discriminated and that they should fight it.
Lilly's argument received a lot of support from everyone ringing and the presenter I hope that if there will be another show the Council will come up with a bit of more substantial evidence to support their decisions on the restricted breeds.

All of Dogs Trust's money comes from donations by the ENGLISH people. Dogs Trust do not fundraise in Ireland......

Re: This evening FM 104 at 22.20
they have online donation facilities on their site so I suppose anyone can donate from anywhere...
But they seem to organise fundraising activities in the UK only. Maybe because they don't have a Centre here

god love the poor children who live in Council houses when there 'rich' neigbours kids are slagging them cause their not ' rich enough' to choose what breed of dog they have has a family pet
i realy do wonder what all this is teaching children ' as they are the dog owners of the future its them we should start with teaching resposible dog ownership ' Not Discrimination of the less unfortunate

sorry i should have made myself a bit clearer i have been speaking to some English people who have been living here in Ireland for the past 3 years who have giving donations in the past to dogs trust these people happen to live at this present time in council dwellings , i didn't mean dogs trust were founded by the Irish people
