old jack russell OWNER FOUND

i was at the school this morning wen a girl was tellin me that her kids found a small dog in a cornor of a football pitch yesterday so as we were going past we went 2 see if the dog was still there an would u belive there she was on a small blanket she was shaking i got some food an we got her out i now have her in my house i think she is pregnent she has milk dripin from her ,this poor dog is lost or could of been dumped it looks as if she was bite by another dog an she limping im not goin 2 send her 2 the dspca as she seems very nervous at mo an stressed enuf so if no owner comes forward she will be lookin 4 a home in a couple of weeks i will be taking her 2 a vet she let me lift her so she tame enuf just frightend she all tan with black back was found in ballyfermot

You might go back and check the area just in case there are puppies waiting for mum to come back - poor girl must be terrified.

we checked she still pregnent she will have them in doors now not in a park

Make sure you have a vet on standby, as you don't know what dog/dogs she has mated with and she is only small, she could have problems giving birth and may need a cesarean section.

LADY IS 12 YEARS OLD SHE WENT MISSING LAST SAT HER OWNERS RANG ME AT 6AM 2 SEE IF IT WAS HER AND THE DOG ANSWERD 2 THE NAME AN THEY WER ABLE 2 TELL ME WAT SCARS SHE HAD SO SHE GOIN HOME 2 DAY OWNER SAYS SHE NOT PREG she suffers with fantom PREGs ,I HAD HER AT VET LAST NITE AN THE DOG HAS A LOT OF MILK SO OWNER WILL HAVE 2 GET THAT CHECKED OUT,,, BUT IM SO HAPPY SHE WAS FOUND

So glad that she is going home, poor girl. Why don't they spay her to prevent the phantom pregnancies and also pyometra which she will be very prone to at this age?

i gave advice 2 them about nutering they said they think she 2 old i asked them 2 ask vet wat he thought

If she succumbs to pyometra, which there is a high chance of at her age, they will have to have an emergency spay when she is in poor health and her life on the line - hopefully they talk to a vet and he/she recommends that once the dog is healthy enough that they go ahead and spay her. Hope she is glad to be home
