Meet Red and Maffie, 2 lovely staffies.



Here's what their fosterer has to say about them.

Maffie has a wonderful nature. Him and Red share a kennel and Red is the boss by far! Maffie, when he first came in, had a serious ear infection and abcess on his face which is why his jaw looks so swollen. He has been treated with antibiotics and is healing nicely. He's been through the wars which is why it looks like as he has marks on his face, but still his personality is wonderful. I spoke to the vets where he was handed into and the girls said that they couldn't believe how laid back and friendly he was. I deal with these girls all the time and I trust them. They said that even as sore as his face and ear was, he was very gentle when they examined him and treated him.

Red is much the same, very laid back and friendly but is the boss in the kennels. Maffie defers to her. Red is about 3 years old and has a lovely nature. She just loves people and gets along with other dogs, as does Maffie. Red is fully vaccinated and has been spayed. Maffie is vaccinated and will be neutered once he gets the all clear from the vet on Monday that the infection is completely gone. It has taken over three weeks of antibiotics to clear the infection.

They both love their cuddles and rubs.

This girls rescue space has fallen through in Sweden as they are not managing to rehome dogs at the moment and so have no foster home for her to go into, so we are now looking to try to find her a home here.

Red is the one in the first photo, she's a lovely girl - spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, good with other dogs, although tends to get on better with more submissive dogs.

I picked up Red today and held her for a couple of hours before taking her to Dogs Aid for her trip to Sweden tomorrow. She's a gorgeous pudgy waddly typical staffy.
