The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
The 6 puppies have arrived here :D:D
We're up to our tonsils in pee, poo and newspaper but they're so worth it.
All have been bathed now as they were very stinky.
Here's a couple of photos from my phone. I'll upload the ones from my camera later.
Just out of the bath
This little fella is called Oscar - haven't got the other names sorted yet - still working on it. He's not feeling the best so is currently curled up in a blanket in my arms as I type

Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
OK, puppies are now named and I'm starting to get to grips with distinguishing the girls from eachother
They are being so good. Fingers crossed it lasts. They're all fast asleep in their beds now. They've eaten, drank, pee'd, poo'd, played and slept - just like puppies should
They've had loads of visitors today - Martina, Rachel, Paddy, Jamie, Kirsty, and my neighbour Barbara.
So here they are...
Lola - She's a little fatso and a real cuddle monster.
Next up is Bert He has convinced us that this litter are Collie x GSD puppies. He has the real look of a shep about him. He's a big furball and was absolutely filthy before bathtime. He's looking much better now thankfully.
Then the second of the girls - Daisy
She's a bit more adventurous than the rest of them. Has spent lots of this evening exploring and playing. She's a real stunner.
And the second of the boys - Oscar (have you spotted the Sesame Street Theme )
Poor Oscar isn't feeling great. I think his wormy belly is giving him trouble. Hopefully the parazol will get rid of them. He's spent most of this evening sleeping but perked up a bit when Rachel, Paddy and the kids arrived. Have been syringing sugared water into him and he's been taking it. He had a sniff at the food earlier but didn't eat much. Hopefully he'll be a bit better tomorrow.
This is Boo, the third of the girls. She's another little fatso and cuddle monster. I'm still struggling to tell her and Lola apart
And finally we have Ernie. He's the smallest of the litter, with the cutest face and little spiky head. He's too cute for words.

Poor puppies are full of worms. What a nice site to greet you first thing this morning :bo: Still at least they're moving through them now.
They didn't keep anyone awake last night though thankfully and Oscar was a lot more bouncy this morning.
Boo is feeling a little sorry for herself this morning but otherwise they seem to be in good spirits.

They are just adorable!! Have to come over for a visit soon but think I'll leave Jamie at home (or he'll smuggle a few into the car )

Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
Visiting hours are 24 hours a day here so you're more than welcome
Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
So 5 of the 6 puppies are in flying form. All are passing worms to beat the band but most of them seem to be over the worst of it and gulped down their chicken tonight (Bert gulped it down too quickly and started choking and foaming at the mouth - nearly lost my life!!! Still he's over it now thankfully).
Ernie isn't eating and is feeling very under the weather. He's passed loads of worms today, the poor little thing. Keeping him hydrated for now and he's sleeping on my lap at the moment. The poor little thing, I feel so sorry for him.

Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
We've just had play time with the 3 girls and Oscar. It was so funny. Millie and Sandy took refuge on the couch as the pups keep trying to feed off them
Photos uploading on photobucket as I type. Will stick some up when they're finished

Progress All puppies ate a meal of chicken just now before settling down for the night.
Hoping that will mean they'll sleep through the night. Fingers crossed eh?

Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
What a fricking day.
Puppies aren't eating. Some of them puked last nights chicken up this morning. They're not drinking enough, the worms just keep on coming!!!
Had Ernie and Bert down at the vets this morning and she put them both on a drip to rehydrate them and gave me electrolytes and prescription food for the rest of them.
Was told to just focus on keeping them hydrated until this evening and then try feeding them really runny prescription food this evening. She thinks that they were just taken from their mam and dumped and never weaned properly, the poor things, which is why they're having such a hard time of it.
Have been syringing them all and they seem to be perking up.
All of them, except Daisy had a little food this evening.
Hope tomorrow is better for them. I feel so sorry for them

Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
It never ceases to amaze me how quickly puppies can turn a corner.
All 6 have perked up considerably and have spent a manic hour playing. But all that playing has taken its toll and at this present moment and time I have 6 puppies and 2 dogs all fast asleep
Daisy getting to know Sandy
A future in IT for Lola and Boo?
Daisy wants in on that too
Ernie
Handsome Oscar
Bert - he's so quiet and reserved
Boo
Ernie - "What's that you keep pointing in my face?"
Hmm All that playing has made Ernie tired
Me too says Daisy
And Oscar
Lola's been learning how to flake out from Miss Millie:D
Bert flaked
Let sleeping dogs lie - all 8 of them

Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
Well the Zuppies decided at 2am this morning that they were not feeling sick any more and started to scream the house down lol. Fed them all in the hope that they would eat and go back to sleep but no!! Then they wanted to play.
So here I was at 2am this morning having my slippers torn from my feet and my toes bitten while 8 little zuppies bounded around the sitting room playing like mad!
They eventually settled at about 3am and were kind enough to give me 4 hours sleep
Thank crunchie it's Friday is all I can say :D:D
They're all definitely much better. Not so many worms now and all eating and drinking. Now that most of the worms have passed you can see how skinny they are, the poor little mites. They're on the A/D food for a couple of days to build them up a bit.
They've also kindly fallen asleep for the last half hour to give me a chance to disinfect the place - wormy puppies stink!!!!!!

lol Chirpy.
The puppy pen is still intact. It just doesn't make for very appealing photos with all the newspaper and puppy pads that get poo'd on every 5 minutes

Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
Ok I'm obviously suffering from sleep deprivation.
There are 3 girls and 3 boys. I just got them mixed up. So we're back to the original names except the small black one (Daisy/Fozzie) is Ernie, and the mostly brown one is Daisy
have edited previous posts to sort the names out

Re: The Zuppies Have Arrived :D:D:D
More photos of bathtime! Tonight I tackled it on my own - no mean feat that!
So all 6 in at once for a quick shampoo
and then moved their bed in front of the fire to dry off - cosy puppies
