Max, lab staffie x *gone to rescue*
This dog will need a foster home from Saturday as he cannot stay longer where he is now.
Breed looks like a staffie lab x, the size of a cocker spaniel, young male.
Will add more details later. If you can help please contact myself or Karen as soon as possible.

Re: Max, lab staffie x *gone to rescue*
ok this is very urgent now. Anyone that can help? even hold onto him for few days to give us a bit more time to find something?
He is good with other dogs and children, housetrained and about a year and a half old. He's a very happy and friendly dog and I would hate to see him going to the pound

Re: Max, lab staffie x *gone to rescue*
I don't know if I'm ready to manage 2 dogs yet together as I'm still in my first week but if needs be I can take him for a few days until something else is sorted. I don't think I'd be able to manage over the whole Christmas though.

Re: Max, lab staffie x *gone to rescue*
thanks very much for the offer Rachel
I will be taking this guy from tonight and I can hold on to him until Sunday evening/ Monday morning so that makes a couple of days more that we can use to make a better assessment of the dog and match him with the right foster home.
He is still going to be urgent from Monday.

thanks Colin
I will post more updates and photos on Max tomorrow. Everything seems fine, he's a lovely dog, more lab than staffie. He's been playing all evening with my collie and now is in the crate ready for the night

Updates
I don't understand how could someone want to ged rid of his guy! He is absolutely adorable
He is so sweet and friendly!!! We went to the vets this morning and he was very friendly with all people and dogs he met in there - he nearly licked the vet to death . He slept all night without a peep out of him and is happy to be in the crate. He loves playing with toys and I can take them off his mouth no problem, he just wants to play and play
I'd say he hadn't had much training and will need to be thought some manners - e.g. not to jump on people or stealing food from the kitchen top - but other than this I am sure he will make a wonderful family pet.
He had his first vaccination today and the vet reckons is under 2 years old and in very good conditions. The only 'bad thing' I can say about him is that he is coking his leg everywhere ...but this will be fixed after his vet appointment on Monday
Here's some photos I took this morning
he is so similar to Oscar in this photo
Playing time - Max is just slightly bigger than Belle, I'd say small lab size.

Re: Max, lab staffie x *gone to rescue*
Max is recovering really well after his surgery yesterday - I took him home last evening and he was playful adn happy like if nothing happened to him . He was big hit at the vet and they called him 'the big baby'. I thinK it is because he is very puppish and playful and very sweet. Pity that my lab doesn't want to have anything to do with him and I still need to keep the two of them separated. Other than that he has been really really good!
Max is going into foster with glic83 tomorrow but still needs an offer of a home or rescue space.

Re: Max, lab staffie x *gone to rescue*
he's nearly as black as the couch and I see that he took over Stella's spot
Tilly looks very relaxed, she's a smashing girl
I wouldn't be too much worried about the food. He's been through a lot in the last few days: change of environment, new people, got neutered on Monday, he also got his worming tablet yesterday and today it was a long drive for him
I am sure his appetite will be back very soon!
Did you see him in action with the squeaky toy yet?
