attention all pit bull terrier owners

well we have heard all about punish the deed not the breed so lets start putting our words into action..
i have been fighting BSL for years now and have decided to do a little more 4 the breed by showing it in its true nature its time to get our pits out there and show these uneducated people what this breed is really about. as a start celticpitbulls is asking all Irish pit bull terrier owners to come on board and join in on the fun of training our dogs and in the very near future we are hoping to enter pit bulls into competitions such as showing, agility, tracking and hoping 4 weight pulling if we can get it passed.. here in Ireland 4 the first time its all about educating the uneducated promoting responsible ownership, respecting the breed and the public,, classes will take place in swords every tuesday night at 7.30 till 9.30 the first classes will consist of basic obeisance and socializing as we need to start from the bottom and work our way up to the competitions that we have lined up,

That's a fantastic idea Lilly. Fair play to you. Maybe when the pitbulls are taking over the dog world you could start on the staffies :D:D

you are all so nice and thank you for all the support, and a big thank you to Rachel for in enlightening me about friends of ben i will do my best to help this breed the way they have helped me true my hard times in life.. i wont give up and i cant wait till we get to the agility so we can show these people the true nature of the pit bull breed and how wonderful they relay are.. thanks again everybody

Hi Celticpits

I think its great what you are trying to do and will offer my support in any way that I can.
Im the proud owner of 5 staffordshire bull terriers and we enjoy lots of sporting activites, flyball, agility, lure racings. If your dogs are dog friendly you should come down to the IKC show grounds and join in with the flyball or agility, the dogs really love it and it gives them a chance to get great exercise and socialise with other dogs.

met Lillys dogs last night and there pure pits ' so well behaved ' lisa you would love them ' there so so good with her special son its absolutely amazeing to see them ' there big cuddle monsters ' you say to the girls ah weres your sore belly and they roll over to show you there spay scar and demand some pity from you ' and big Butch turns into a baby wen he seems something on top of the fridge that he wants ' he sits and whimpers and keeps looking at you practicaly asking you to get it down for him ' they are so well mannered and gentle '

i can assure you Lisa there is no staffy blood whats so ever in my dogs,they are all full pit bull terriers both butch and sasha grandparents are American dogs.. ive had this breed for 21 years i think id no the different s by now cant see any resemblance whats so ever to be honest,,

Hiya sorry didnt mean any offence at all shows you how much I know about pitbulls! which isnt much.
Im from the UK originally where they are illegal so I have never knowingly seen a pure breed pitbull.
