Re: Female Staffie 3 or 4 years old *gone to rescue*
Thanks a million Mary. Going to collect her at 2pm and will see how she and Millie get on. If I think they'll be ok together I'll keep her here and save me a trip to Portarlington but if not I'll get her down to you. Will text you later on to let you know what's happening.
Thanks again,
Karen.
Thanks again,

This girl is now in foster care with me. She's a lovely thing and herself and Millie seem to be getting along ok so far. Had them both out for a run around the park to get to know eachother and it seems to have worked.
Here's a few pics.

she's huge compared to Millie!!! I hope you have a fitness plan in place for her Karen
Re: Female Staffie 3 or 4 years old *gone to rescue*
Just back from the vets - she's 22.5kgs!!!!!! So it's several walks a day, games of fetch with Millie on the green and low fat food in correct portion sizes until her passport gets back!!!!

And little Millie wagging her tail!! She's such a happy dog!! Misty looks like a huge bull-dog compared...

Hmm - a lot of alpha female messing going on here at the moment - and Millie is the instigator!!!!!! She's just thrown herself off the couch on top of Misty/Frosty/Fatso and the poor dog got such a fright and snapped at Millie, and instead of Millie learning her lesson and going away, she started on her and she's now sporting a cut on her ear!!! On the plus side the new arrival is getting used to her crate so I'll be able to keep them separated if I'm not around. For now I think I'll let Miss Millie sleep upstairs and leave Misty downstairs in her crate.

The thougth of Millie jumping on top of the big mamma has me in stitches!!!
I hope her ear is ok, big hug to her from me.

Re: Female Staffie 3 or 4 years old *gone to rescue*
Things didn't really improve for these two last night - Millie just kept invading Misty's space and it caused a good few bust ups. I know that both dogs individually are usually great with other dogs, but keeping two bitches in such close quarters probably wasn't the best idea. Unfortunately I had to move Misty out into kennels this morning until she can travel to Carina as I don't have the room to keep them separated when I'm not around to keep an eye on them.
Re: Female Staffie 3 or 4 years old *gone to rescue*
I got an update on this girl from Carina tonight as follows:
"Hi Karen. Frosty stayed in her foster family. Sadly she became ill at the end of the Summer. she was treated by our vet several times but in the end she had to go to doggie heaven. She had a short but good live here. Our vet said she was 8 or 9 years, not 3/4 as we were told".
Run free Fatso Glad you had a few happy months in Sweden before you passed on.

Re: Female Staffie 3 or 4 years old *gone to rescue*
I know Lily. The text was so unexpected. I had sent Carina a text about Toby and then asked her if there was any word on how Fatso was getting on (she'll always be Fatso to me bless her). I can't believe she was 9 or 10. She used to jump up on you to say hello and then realise that it was gonna hurt when she jumped down because she was so fat, so she just wouldn't bother and would stay there with her two paws on your legs until you either moved or put her down

so sorry Karen, I know how much you wanted her to have a happy life, but I am sure she had a very happy life and was in the best possible care until her last days. Run free Fatzo
