Dunboyne Dogs in Urgent need of funds
After I write cheque for vets today and for boarding on Tuesday there will be about €100 let in the DunboyneDogs account (and we will still have 3 dogs in boarding costing €12 a day). Recent vets bills, boarding fees and of course release fees have crippled us. We have also had numerous dogs surrendered in that we couldn't leave behind that never went on board (two more last Tuesday - a dalmation female and a collie x female) and of course we have had no money to cover their release fees. We really can't continue on like this. I am working on the whole release fee issue but am so busy at work and getting the dogs out that I rarely get time to do anything about it. I feel like I am always moaning about money but the very real fact now is that from next week we are not in a position financially to take any more dogs out of Dunboyne pound. I am gutted to have to say this and I have had a pain in my head since Sunday just thinking about it but the fact is that we are broke.

Re: Dunboyne Dogs in Urgent need of funds
Right, well how many people do you reckon we could get to do a sponsored walk for Dunboyne if we advertised on PI and begged and pleaded with people? If we can get 50 people to raise 50 euro that's 2500 straight off.

If u could maybe hold a few in different places as not everyone can get into Dublin. Just a thought might get more people that way

Re: Dunboyne Dogs in Urgent need of funds
if anyone can possibly spare a couple of quid for Martina, she is in desperate need of funds. We try to help out with release fees and kennelling fees for the restricted breeds, but they're only a small percentage of the dogs that come through Dunboyne. If you have any spare money then please paypal it to her. If you don't have paypal then please pm me for further details on how to donate.
roche_martina@yahoo.co.uk is the email address you need to paypal it to.
Thanks,
Karen.

Re: Dunboyne Dogs in Urgent need of funds
Right lets get thinkin, I'll organise a walk in the curragh or maybe Dunadee forest with Mary (sorry Mary I've just volunteered you!) we'll work on it when we get back from hols, there probably won't be too many round these parts but we can get our friends and family to come also anyone we have homed dogs to, it will give us a chance to see how they're gettin on.

Table Quiz
Just reading this post and was thinking what about a table quiz? We could maybe hold a raffle on the night also, go to local business to sponsor a few prizes. My Dad has held these on numerous occasions so I can ask him to help us out with questions etc and I have a few contacts for venues in Lucan but this location may not suit. Don't mind organising this if we feel it could be a runner.
