gosh ' looks like i missed out on all the fun last night
from the minute little Lexi was born he has had a guardian Angel' he was handed in at my vets with a badly injured leg ' his owners didnt want to pay the bill so just left him there ' he became known has the pitbull pup with the bad leg ' they rang me to see if i could help him cause they knew by all the bull breeds i had up there that he would be in safe hands with me ' the minute they rang i said 'Yes' of course i,l help him ..without even thinking about it ' so i gave them the go ahead to fix his leg ' i jumped in the car flew to petmania and bought him a new blanket ' a bandana collar and sum pigs ears ect... wen i went in to visit him i fell in love with him .... he was just so gentle' he couldnt even stand ,just lay there wagging his tail and licking me ' the girls in the vets couldnt believe the change in him wen i left ' he had a lovely red collar and bandana and a little blanket ' so then he became known as the 'little baby' with the broken leg... the next day he came home to me with his big blue plaster paris ' he had a couple of playmates here and he was happy to stand with them in the garden ' 4 days later he became very ill and shakey realy quickly ' took him to the vets at 7am and by the time i got there he was vomiting up diareha through his mouth ' poor baby didnt know what was happening to him ' he got rushed up for an emergency operation ' they didnt think he would make it ... luckily he survived but was very ill and spent a week in the vets... i use to sit up there for ages with him he wasted away and at one stage they asked me did i want him pts cause he was so thin and in bad pain' i said i,d give him 24 hrs to try pick up ' i flew home made him is favourite chicken and rice dinner and sat with him for ages but he would not eat ' i went back up the next morning expecting the worst and was delighted when i seen him ' he had started eating chicken in the middle of the night and didnt vomit ' he was still very ill but he had survived all odds again ... he definitely had a guardian Angel .... i went away on hols and thats when Elena took over ' and done a fantastic job of building him up and socializing him with dogs and people ' and now hes liveing with ' The Mother of all Bullbreeds' (Sarah ) so i realy believe he has someone looking out for him xx
there is other pics of him when he was in the vets and realy thin ' kaz might put one up just to show how bad he realy was ...

Re: Rex - American Bulldog pup *gone to rescue*
I know - I had forgotten how bad he was but then started remembering the frantic calls to Rachel wondering how he was doing, and the heartbreaking call where she said the vets thought it might be time to put him to sleep but she wanted to give him another 24 hours (THANK GOD FOR RACHEL NOT GIVING IN!!!!), and her running home to cook some chicken for him in the hope that he might start eating again.
I am so so so so so so so glad that his story has worked out so well because he really does deserve it.
